Black Hair Abroad | Black Women, Why Aren’t You Making Money and Traveling The World?

I’m going to tell you about how some people not only make money doing hair, but how they travel the world to do it.

If you’ve ever wondered about how to travel the world and make money, and you have the skills to do hair, this article is for you.

I guess not just black women, but anyone who could do hair… I’m going to tell you about an international opportunity, one that other people are already taking advantage of and there’s still plenty of room for it.

African-Americans spend $1.2 trillion each year, https://www.essence.com/news/money-career/business-black-beauty/

I have lived abroad in 4 countries and I can tell you that wherever I go, people want to know if I can do their hair. If I could, I would have been rich and not an online English teacher living abroad. They wanted locks, microbraids, regular weave, cornrows. I don’t have a hair skill bone in my body, I’ve had locks since 4.

So while I’m presenting this opportunity to you, it’s one that has been presented to me time and time again.

Doing hair in a foreign country isn’t new but I don’t think on this side of the planet we really think about it.

I’m living in the Eurasian country of Georgia and the country is homogenous, the people, well-dressed, simple, no one really stands out, but then boom, at a restaurant some normally black haired waitress with pink box braids. She asked me if I could redo her hair. Unfortunately I could not so that was money out the door for me.

A companion of mine asked where she had originally had it done and it was in the capital city of Tbilisi. African women do their hair.

The city has African and Indian students studying to be doctors so it’s not uncommon to see them, and a few stay and settle, but in the city for that reason it’s more common to see someone who has gotten their hair done by an african.

I present this idea because if you have this skill you have it. If you thought it was only useful for your family or money on the side here, you’re wrong it’s useful even in places you may not expect and as work in another country it’s little start up – just word of mouth or teaching others.

I like this as an international opportunity because of its simplicity and unexpectedness but the fact that it works and is already working.

Fall in love with a country, a culture, a people and invest there. Because then you don’t just go to make money, you see how whatever you do there can help create jobs or raise the standard of the people. It’s not different advice from any other investing. Find something you’re interested in, research it, invest in it.
